I was SO excited today! Steve and I were cooking breakfast and I happened to glance out and see this bird on the top of our pole feeder. The Indigo Bunting hung out in our feeder area for about 10 minutes at 10:20am today. I was able to snap several photos, check them out in the photo gallery. I was so excited to be seeing this bird, that I don’t think I got the greatest pictures, but I’m just glad to have a few. This was also Steve’s first time to see the Indigo Bunting. It was a really great birdwatching morning here in the backyard. I called my mom to tell her about it. She has seen them only twice in her life. What a lucky Day!

Isn’t it great when you experience wildlife in your yard?! There are many ways to encourage wildlife in your backyard, whether that be through food supply or the types of plants and flowers are in bloom. This bird is beautiful, how exciting you got an up close look!

Hey, I’m sorry for the long delay in responding!  I actually do respond to every comment, but I haven’t been online for a few weeks.  Anyways, It was really exciting to see the indigo bunting. We try to draw in lots of different birds and animals. Recently, we saw a Northern Flicker, see my newest blog post about that!  Catch you later! Thanks for leaving a comment, it IS appreciated!
