About us

We enjoy feeding the birds and observing all the wildlife here in our backyard. We are observing and reporting on what we see.

Meet Steve & Elizabeth: We are just your average homeowners with an interest in all the happenings in our own backyard. We have been observing our local environment and we wanted to bring some of our observations to the internet. We are interested in learning about ways to monitor our local populations of feeder birds, amphibians (toads, frogs, snakes, and lizards) and other animals like squirrels and rabbits. We are also interested in improving our landscaping both for our own enjoyment, our pets and local wildlife. We participate in Project Feederwatch and Inaturalist as well as the Michigan Herp Atlas. Will be sharing our research and resources here.

As of March of 2020 we are home full time. Started during the pandemic, but likely to persist, we are just out here L I V I N.
