Raccoons in the yard

Raccoons in the yard

June 10, 2024 Elizabeth

We’ve had a few raccoons around this year. We haven’t been seeing the opossum at all but have had several raccoons coming through.

I shot this video with our mobile Birdfy unit. We were trying to capture videos of something that we thought was coming out from under the red shed at night, but instead we captured at least 2 different raccoons. The one at the end I think is a pregnant female. These were shot on 5/20/24 and 5/21/2024. I’m just getting around to editing!

We continued to see raccoons on our security cameras, even though we didn’t have any real snacks out. We recently captured these images of a mother raccoon with 4 youngsters alongside her.

We also had an opportunity to see a really neat moon one evening. We tried out some different settings on the cameras on our phones, but really couldn’t get it to look like how it looked in person. Here’s a couple of attempts at the same moon with different settings.
