Another Yellowjacket Hive

Another Yellowjacket Hive

August 19, 2023 Elizabeth

It seems lately like we have yellowjackets build an underground hive somewhere on the property every year. Sometimes it’s in an innocuous spot that doesn’t bother us. But – when it’s in the dog area we have to take care of it. Tilda got stung so many times once that she had to get medicated and was miserable. So, here’s a video of when we discovered the hive. And then Steve had started digging it up and had angered the hive. Then, we show it at night with all of them resting. Some people will ask. So, we do destroy them with fire and then dig up the whole hive and ensure that no part of it is left behind or some will simply rebuild.
