Signs of Spring! Steve found a salamander today in the crawlspace egress where it’s always shady & cold all day. He was stranded on the rocks, too cold & weak to bury himself. He came & got me to help with the rescue because it brings me so much joy. I moved him to a sheltered spot in the flower bed where there’s some sun. I could feel his body warming & starting to twitch in my hand. I’m sure glad we found him today because I don’t think he had much longer! We believe him to be Blue Spotted Salamander
