Turkeys Visit

Turkeys Visit

March 1, 2023 Elizabeth

We’ve been being visited by this flock of turkeys lately. It’s a group of 10 – 12 toms. They are super fun to watch. They strut about, sometimes they fluff up and show all their feathers.

They are sometimes bold and sometimes skittish. Really fun to watch. Here’s a cool interaction between a turkey and a squirrel at the tractor cob feeder.

  • A turkey & a squirrel meet at the cob
  • The turkey seems surprised
  • The squirrel thinks he owns the place!
  • Maybe we can dine together?
  • Maybe squirrel!

Here you can see a bit more of the flock, in both the front and back yards.

Here’s a video of the Turkey at the Squirrel feeder.

Duke likes it when the turkeys respect his authority!
