We met with our local vet about Quincy’s cancer diagnosis. We were fortunate in that she had an additional option for us. We started Quincy on a pain drug that also has the side effect of sometimes preventing the growth of soft cell cancer growth. We are happy with the results thus far. We were seeing the tumor grow every single day. However, it appears now that the growth has slowed and Quincy has regained some of her energy. The vets have told us to expect 2 – 4 months with our girl and we want to make the most of them. This medication is giving us more good days than bad and for that we are thankful.
A good friend came over and took some family photos of us today. It was a good day!
*Note – I’m documenting all of this after we had time to process. We were too devastated and out of sorts through the winter to think about updating this blog. Sorry, folks.
