We are foster failures

We are foster failures

February 20, 2019 Elizabeth

Hey, just realized it’s national love your pet day & I hadn’t shared news of how Steve & I are foster failures! We love Duke & he’s fit right into our family. His favorite things are carrots & belly rubs. He just flops down in your path for a belly rub anytime. He’s playful with toys. He’s learned to sit & wait for his supper. Still working on how he meets & greets new people. If you come over, we are likely practicing don’t touch, don’t talk, no eye contact until everyone settles. Duke learned to like the cat & they are actually becoming friends & companions. The cat seems to like having a basset buddy around. Tilda is figuring out how to play with him, too. She’s very submissive to him & just wants him to be her best friend already. He’s a great addition to our family and we are thankful to Basset Hound Rescue of Michigan for introducing us to him. They are both great at couch potato mode.
