A sad day

November 23, 2016 by Elizabeth

Today, we found out that Quincy’s cancer has recurred. We knew this was a possibility but we were so hopeful for the best outcome.  She has had a bit of a sniffle for a while and nothing else was helping. We took her back to the Animal Surgical Center for a CT scan and her nostril is nearly completely filled with a tumor again.

There are options, but none of them are very good. We could try radiation which is incredibly expensive and not guaranteed to work. We could try chemotherapy which may make her sick, is quite expensive and also not guaranteed to work.

At this point, we are shocked.  We are heartbroken.  We are sad.

*Note – I’m documenting all of these things at a later date after we had processed the diagnosis.  It was really too much for us at the time.
